You Already Have A Home , secondo album dei TLC,è in effetti una collezione di canzoni di marca cantautorale di pregevole fattura e grande fascino. Mayer procede quasi sempre da un approccio intimista e malinconico, caldo ed essenziale nell'espressione (affidata alla sua voce calda e alla chitarra acustica arpeggiata con gentilezza), ma a a partire da qui lavora sugli arrangiamenti con eleganza, precisione e senso delle proporzioni (non a caso c'è John Roger Olsson dei The Grand Opening alla regia), aggiungendo di volta in volta un morbido violoncello ad avvolgere ( No more salt in your wounds

The result - always good - is an album of sharp aftertaste catutorato from English, in which models hover styles ranging from McCartney to Badly Drawn Boy, Nick Drake Damien Rice, through the quiet warmth of Kings Of Convenience (after hearing such wonderful ) or purely romantic (Do not leave me here
Time Will Come), built on a lovely mixture of shyness and passion for the nuances. A further hearing after listening to hard, soft and comfortable yet profondo e ispirato, perfetto per la stagione invernale.
