Whi Do People Have To Ge The Stomach Bug

Prayer Oil

Under influence of Latin sacramental many Orthodox consider Prayer Oil as a Viaticum a Extreme Unction be imposed "in danger of death, dying. This mentality \\ practice had been established between the Latins after the sixteenth century, after Trent, and was based on a strict reading of James V 14, although it contradicted the same headings (the patient is in church, a long officiating: definitely not a dying man!). This mentality \\ practice by the Latins themselves, however, has been abandoned since the second half of last century: the Latins now speak of Anointing generically of sick, and often celebrate it in a collective, just as it does in the parishes of the Greek tradition of the Great Wednesday, referring to all the infirmities (of body and soul), but - correctly - in no uncertain terms argue that the Anointing of the Sick is not an "alternative" to the sacrament of Confession (Penance or ). In those last Mohicans that continue to consider, in the old fashioned Latin Prayer Oil as a Extreme Unction , should be made aware that:

- Typika many ancient celebration that require the completion of the four Lents, particularly at the end of Great Lent: Typikon in the Monastery of the full-of-thanks is due to the Saturday of Lazarus, in cod. Sinaiticus 981 is recommended for all first days of the Great Week, etc..

- in Russian monasteries in the sixteenth century is still celebrated is the Great Wednesday that the Great Saturday;

- use certificate is still in Moscow in 1667;

- still in the nineteenth century, the Great Prayer Oil is celebrated every Saturday in the Cathedral Odessa (in memory of the Battle of Sevastopol!)

- still in the early twentieth century, every great Wednesday, we certainly celebrated in the cathedral of Hagia Sophia in Novgorod, in the Assumption Cathedral in Moscow, and Laura's Trinity.

In practice in the church of tradition, "Greek" but it remains to be clarified whether the oil can be brought by the faithful in their homes (it was always some who will use?) And if the anointing can be extended to the heterodox (treating them as sick soul because of other faiths?)
