I would like to bring a piece part in today's Corriere della Sera Marcello Messori because I find it very enlightening.
"should first be considered that the dynamics of labor productivity of a given enterprise or network of companies do not depend so much on the commitment of workers, but especially on their training, the external economic environment, business organization, the intensity related investments in production processes. It would therefore be distorting if it sought to link the wage to the current trend of labor productivity or industry. It would end so to protect firms or sectors with the worst productivity performance and to discourage the most innovative and efficient, or to propose once again restore the competitiveness of the Italian economy based on wage compression. "
It is a leitmotif of the applicant under this government, all reasoning aimed at increasing competitiveness seems to move inexorably to squeeze wages and rights of working people. It still does not understand what should instead be the new way to make our economy competitive: to change the education system, encourage firms to innovate, stimulate research, give a strong impetus to the development of infrastructure, reduce time to allow the civil justice companies to recover quickly, for example their claims etc. ....
